scaling policy of extra credit

is an extra credit point from say labs, online quizzes, and the two
surveys an absolute point (ie, worth as much as one point on the final),
or is there going to be a scaling factor applied? additionally, is there
a cap on the # of EC points one can earn that is below the theoretical
maximum?

Each quiz is worth .5 points, each lab's EC is worth .25 points and each
survey is 1 point, out of the 300 points total for this class.
